Hot Tub Spa Accessories - Enhancing the Hot Tub Experience

AUTHOR: Sarah Cohen

Hot Tub Spa Accessories

If you already have a hot tub in your home, you can enhance the experience by buying hot tub spa accessories. This will definitely contribute in making your investment in a hot tub more worthwhile, instead of spending the same amount on gyms and health clubs on a regular basis.

Hot Tub Spa Accessories - The Choices are Endless!

Before you choose any accessories for your hot tub, make sure that they are all waterproof. Most of these accessories will come in constant contact with water so it helps that they are safe and durable.

One of the accessories that you can have while soaking up in your hot tub would be stereo systems that have waterproof speakers. The sound will be wired directly to your hot tub. As much as possible, do not attempt to set up the system yourself since a licensed electrician might be able to do a better job at it.

If your hot tub is placed outdoors, you can add some lighting fixtures so that it can still be used even at nighttime. Your best bet would be fiber optic lighting, since the mood it evokes will be more relaxed and serene. You can also have a UV light nearby so that the bugs can be kept away while you are enjoying soaking in your hot tub.

If you do a lot of entertaining at home in your hot tub, there are also some interesting accessories that you can purchase. Some people like adding some stools outside the hot tub where you can relax after a long soak. You can also buy a hot tub caddy which you can mount on the side of the tub. The caddy serves as a tray where you can leave some food and drinks or your mobile phone, so that they are always within your reach without getting wet. Small beverage holders with suction cups also come in handy so you do not have to worry about dropping a drink in the tub again.

If you have a child who is not big enough to sit in the regular seats inside the hot tub, you can buy an inflatable booster seat for him or her. You can also buy some waterproof playing cards to keep yourself amused with friends while you are all in the hot tub.

As an added luxury in terms of hot tub spa accessories, you can also buy a towel warmer. While the heat inside the hot tub is comforting, stepping out of the tub and into the cold can be an unpleasant experience. A towel warmer is a cabinet that circulates dry air and can keep your towel or even your bathrobe warm and ready after your dip in the hot tub.
